Infrastructure

The Ponte de Sor Aerodrome is an infrastructure for public use, certified by the National Civil Aviation Authority (ANAC) in class II, Code 3C and Category 2, within the scope of Rescue and Fire Fighting, certificate No. 41.

The aerodrome’s geographical position, its centrality in the national territory, its air space free of obstacles and the absence of restrictions on aeronautical activity, constitutes an added value to the realization of flights.

Runway operating conditions (day and night flights with visual approach, VFR and by instruments, IFR in VMC conditions), Aerodrome Flight Information Service (AFIS), existing technical infrastructure (Hangars), as well as the availability of land for future construction, enhance the continuity of investments in the aeronautical area.

The proximity of the infrastructure to the Montargil reservoir allows to promote the existing investments in the tourism area, as well as the creation of others.
